Meet the Team

Katherine is the founder and principal designer here at Kind Interior Design. She holds a bachelors degree in Interior Design from San Diego State University, and in 2019 achieved her NCIDQ accreditation to become a nationally certified Interior Designer. Katherine is passionate about serving her clients, and masters thoughtful design by incorporating unique & long lasting pieces from different styles to create interiors that are intrinsically unique. She is also passionate about animal welfare, sustainability and giving back to the community, as that has always been a big part of her life and part of her why. Establishing Kind Interior Design as a conscious & environmentally friendly design firm is not only challenging the interior design industry standards, but a unique and inspiring way for her clients to connect with a space they love on a much deeper level.

DALLAS, TX

Tessa is the co founder and principal designer here at Kind Interior Design. Tessa received her Environmental + Interior Design degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu and holds her IDFX certificate from the National Council of Interior Design Qualification. Tessa is an innovative Interior Designer, passionate about holistic design and finds joy in bringing uniquely customized concepts to each and every one of her clients. Tessa is also passionate about animal rights, nature and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles through travel. She masters intentional design by drawing on these experiences finding inspiration in everything from food to architecture for creative ideas with form, color, patterns and textures.

We believe that a well designed home should not only look good, but feel good. If you’ve ever felt anxious spending time in a messy room, you know that the design of our space and our environment affects us both physically and emotionally.

Our mission is to provide conscious interior design, meaning sourcing items and materials thoughtfully and not just because something looks “pretty”. Tremendous consideration is given to the physical and mental needs of the end users of the space. We believe it’s not just about creating an “adorable” kids space, but one that meets the needs of the child in all aspects of their life.

We are certified in designing wellness/sensory environments, cruelty-free design and sustainable sourcing and offer these services to clients seeking ethical, non-toxic materials and furniture.
